Antonia del Rey Reguillo holds a PH. D. in Audiovisual Communication. Since 1999 she teaches at the University of Valencia, where she is Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. In parallel she develops his research activity, which focuses on three main thematic axes: Spanish fiction cinema, the image of Spain made up of native and international cinema, and the various interactions between fiction cinema and tourism. Since 2005, she coordinates the CITur R&D Group (Cinema, Imaginary and Tourism) with which she has developed three research projects financed first by the Generalitat Valenciana and the remaining two by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICINN). The third of these projects, The Spanish cinema spaces as a tourist promotion factor of indigenous geographical and cultural heritage, is currently under execution. This research activity has resulted in several publications of individual books and five collective books as editor and author. She has also written several articles in academic journals and numerous chapters published in scientific books.
