Montserrat Esbrí Blasco holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, Literature, and Translation from the Universitat Jaume I. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of English and German Philology at the Universitat de València (Spain). She is a member of CLaRe (Cognitive Linguistics Applied Research) research group. Her main research interests include metaphor analysis, contrastive linguistics and frame semantics. Her work has been published in academic journals such as Review of Cognitive Linguistics, Metaphor and the Social World, Culture, Language and Representation, Poznan Studies in Contemporary Linguistics, and Respectus Philologicus, among others, as well as in renowned publishing houses such as Peter Lang, De Gruyter and Comares.
