Degree in Medicine and Surgery with an Extraordinary Award from the University of Valencia (1998) and Doctor of Medicine (PhD) Cum Laude from the University of Valencia (2007). He completed his residency training in Cardiology at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia (1999–2004). Accredited for the position of Contracted Doctor by AVAP (2022). He holds an Official University Master's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging in Cardiology (Miguel Hernández University of Elche), an Executive Master's in Healthcare Organization Management (ESADE), as well as Master's degrees in Heart Failure, Cardiology, and Clinical Unit Management.
He currently works as a Specialist Physician in Cardiology (tenured statutory position via public examination) at the Consorcio Hospital General Universitario de Valencia, where he serves as Coordinator of Clinical Cardiology (Hospitalization, Heart Failure Unit, and Familial Heart Diseases).
RESEARCH PROFILE AND AREAS OF INTEREST
His scientific and research activity focuses on heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, vascular risk, atrial fibrillation, and the application of new technologies and artificial intelligence in cardiology.
- Scientific Production: Author of over 139 articles in scientific journals indexed in PubMed/MEDLINE, notably publishing in the Revista Española de Cardiología, ESC Heart Failure, International Journal of Cardiology, Expert Review of Cardiovascular Therapy, and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine.
- Clinical Trials and Projects: Extensive experience as Principal Investigator (PI) and collaborator in national and international clinical trials (phases IB, IIIB, III, and IV) and observational registries (including VERIPRACT, PROVALTA, VICTORION-PLAQUE, CORDIO HEARO, ASUNDEXIAN/BAY, and the ESC-HF Long-Term Registry).
- Scientific Direction and Training: He has directed doctoral theses awarded Summa Cum Laude and completed international scientific stays at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School, Boston) and the McDonough School of Business (Georgetown University, Washington DC).
