Ferran Carbó Aguilar (Vila-real 1960) is a professor in the area of ​​Catalan Philology at the University of Valencia. He has devoted himself to the study of contemporary literature written in the Catalan language, especially in the literary genre of poetry. He is the author of a dozen monographic books, several editions and anthologies, and a hundred specialized articles. Among his books, we should mention Joan Vinyoli: escriptura poètica i construcció imaginària (1990), La poesia de Joan Valls (1991), Introducció a la poesia de Joan Vinyoli (1991), La freda veritat de les estrelles (Lectures de Joan Vinyoli) (1995), El teatre a València entre 1963 i 1970 (2000), La poesia catalana del segle XX (2007), Com un vers mai no escrit. La poesia de Vicent Andrés Estellés en els anys cinquanta (2009), Paraules invictes. Cinc estudis de poesia catalana del segle XX (2016) i Els versos dels calaixos. Sobre Llibre de meravelles de Vicent Andrés Estellés. També ha escrit diversos llibres en col.laboració: així, amb Santi Cortés, El teatre en la postguerra valenciana (1939-1962) (1997); o amb Vicent Simbor, La recuperació literària en la postguerra valenciana (1939-1972) (1993), Literatura actual al País Valencià (1973-1992) (1993) i Literatura catalana del siglo XX (2005). Among his editions, the first two volumes of the new edition of Obra completa I (2014) and Obra completa II (2015) by Vicent Andrés Estellés should be highlighted. In addition, he has been dean of the Faculty of Philology at the UV, director of the Interuniversity Institute of Valencian Philology and coordinator of the Joan Fuster Chair.
