Biography

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Biostatistics from the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences at the Universitat de València. I subsequently completed my PhD at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, graduating with International Doctorate Mention and the Doctoral Excellence Award. My doctoral research focused on Bayesian multivariate spatial modelling.

My teaching covers a broad range of topics in statistics, from introductory and applied courses across different degree programmes to more advanced and theoretical subjects, such as Mathematical Statistics in the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. I have also supervised several Bachelor's and Master's theses, mainly within the Mathematics degree and the Master's programme in Biostatistics.

My research focuses on Bayesian spatial modelling of georeferenced data and the development of Bayesian networks, together with their applications in epidemiology, sports data science (sports analytics), and other disciplines. My work combines the development of novel statistical methodology with the application of advanced techniques to address real-world problems. The computational implementation of this methodology is carried out primarily in R, where I have developed several algorithms and an R package implementing the methods arising from my research.

Although I have scheduled office hours, you are welcome to contact me by email whenever you need assistance. I will be pleased to help you.
