. I joint the U.V. organic chemistry department in 1978 with a collaboration grant to isolate natural products, until my degree in chemistry. During my Ph.D. thesis I undertake the synthesis of Xanthones isolated in this department to prove their structure. After a post-doctoral stage in University of Cambridge (UK) on Enantioselective additions on allyl-silanes (1988-89) under Dr. Ian Fleming supervision, I joint Dr. Ramon Mestres' group to study the reactivity of carboxylic acid dianions and co-authored with him the book Química Orgànica General (ISBN 84-370-2301-7, 2ª ed. 1995, Ed. UVEG). Then I contributed to Dr. Miranda research on photoinduced damage while joining Dr. Ana M. Costero's group to developed chemosensors for cations, anions (both chain length and enantiomeric selective), biomolecules and hazardous gases. More recently, after joining Dr. Ramón Martínez CIBER-bbn group, on the development of hybrid materials (mesoporous silica closed with organic gates) for the detection and controlled release of substances. I also contributed to the generation of the Interuniversity (UPV-UV) research institute on molecular recognition and technological development (IDM). Post-degree teaching for 26 years, with 11 Ph.D. theses co-supervised (2 granted extraordinary award). I have tutored and coordinated (2010-2012) the program of practices in industries of the chemistry degree (16 years, 130 students in 32 different industries). My research activity, with the financial support of 30 competitive research projects (5 as IP), 13 contracts with diverse companies and public organisms (5 as IP) that have led to 7 book chapters, 8 patents (1 European exploited by Servalesa), 8 reviews and 165 ISI publications (90% of them in half top journals; 27 citations/pub. average). I collaborate in the university management as Scientific Coordinator of Unit 26 (ICTS NANBIOSIS) and I have been: director of the Core service for the support of experimental research (SCSIE) (2014-2018); Secretary of the Chemistry Faculty (2012-2014) and president of the Habilitated organism for evaluation of Animal experimentation procedures (2016-2018). UV Green Idea awards for the project 'implementation of a centralized system for the recovery of chemical products in the University of Valencia'.
