Vicente González-Romá is Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valencia (UV) and a member of the Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development and Quality of Working Life (IDOCAL) at the same university. From 1992 to 2006, he was Associate Professor of Methodology of the Behavioral Sciences.

He served as Director of the UV's Graduate Employment Service (OPAL) (2009-2018) and the IDOCAL Research Institute (2018-2024). He also served as Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (2008-2011), Associate Editor of this journal (2005-2008), and Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychology (2014-2020). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Management, the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, and the Journal of Applied Psychology. He is a member of SIOP (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology), EAWOP (European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology), IAAP (International Association of Applied Psychology), and AEMCCO (Spanish Association of Methodology of Behavioral Sciences).

His research has been published in high-impact scientific journals, such as Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Work & Stress, Leadership Quarterly, Multivariate Behavioral Research, Organizational Research Methods, and Structural Equation Modeling. His research interests include organizational climate and culture; team composition, processes, and outcomes; innovation; burnout and engagement; leadership in organizations; employability and job placement; the impact of new technologies on work and organizations; and measurement and research methods.

He has been Principal Investigator of various research projects funded by national and regional agencies and a member of research teams that have developed projects funded by the European Union.

He has taught undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and specialized courses on various topics related to Work and Organizational Psychology, and Research, Analysis, and Measurement Methods in Psychology and Health and Social Sciences. In 2021, with professors Ana Hernández and Inés Tomás, he founded the FenMICS (Training in Research Methods in Social and Health Sciences) group, which offers training courses on these methods.
