Víctor Gómez Blanco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economic Structure at the Universitat de València and an Associate Affiliate of the Figuerola Institute. His research focuses on Finance, Economic History, and Inequality, and he has published in journals such as the Economic History Review.

Following the completion of his PhD at Carlos III University of Madrid in 2021, Víctor worked as an Associate Researcher in an ERC project at the Carlos III-Juan March Institute (IC3JM) and on a Leonardo project (BBVA), both of which were focused on inequality. Subsequently, he held the position of Postdoc Fellow in the Department of Finance at Tilburg University.

Prior to joining the Universitat de Valencia, Víctor taught Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economic History, Economic Growth, and Econometrics at Carlos III University of Madrid and Complutense University of Madrid.
