Hermas R. Jiménez García (hermas.jimenez@uv.es) graduated in Chemical Sciences from the University of Valencia in 1984, obtaining his PhD in 1988. He became an Assistant Professor in 1989 and in 1996 was appointed Associated Professor in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. Professor Jiménez has conducted research stays at the Bioorganic Chemistry Laboratory of the Curie Institute – Biology Section, in Orsay, France. This work has resulted in several publications in international scientific journals and a book chapter. He is an expert in metalloproteins and paramagnetic NMR. He has taught undergraduate courses in Chemistry, Biology, and Pharmacy, primarily Bioinorganic Chemistry, and has also taught various doctoral courses. He has received positive evaluations for six five-year teaching periods and five six-year research periods.
