Biography

Full Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Valencia.

Ph.D. in Sociology (2006), with a dissertation on professionals and organizations in the third sector dedicated to the employment integration of vulnerable populations: “Logics of Justification in the Associative Sphere: An Analysis Based on the Discourse of Employment Integration Professionals.”

Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Psychology.

He teaches in the field of the sociology of education, particularly in the undergraduate programs in Sociology, Teacher Education, Social Education, and Pedagogy, as well as in the Master’s in Social Economy (specializing in Nonprofit Organizations) and the Master’s in Secondary Teacher Education.
Member of the research group “Transition from Education to Employment in Contexts of Social Vulnerability (TRANSICIONS)” at the University of Valencia (OTRI ref. GIUV2013-093) since 1998. Through this group, he has participated in various research projects focusing on policies for the social and labor integration of young people, the third sector of social action, social integration enterprises, school dropout rates, vocational training, and the transition processes between education and work. He has been recognized for two six-year periods of research.
