Javier Guardiola García holds a PhD in Law and a degree in Criminology; he is Tenured Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law of the University of Valencia, teaching in different subjects of criminal law and criminology, and a researcher at the University Research Institute in Criminology and Criminal Sciences.
Graduated in Law from this same University (1992-1997, Extraordinary Award), he also combined doctoral studies there with Graduate in Criminology (1997-2000), and, after defending his doctoral thesis in 2002 -The arbitrary realization of one's own right, published as a monograph in 2003-, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Criminology (2005-2006, Extraordinary Award and National End of Career Award).
He is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law (before which he was Coordinator of the Double Degree Program in Law and Criminology, and Co-director of the Master's Degree in Criminology and Security); member of the Board of the Spanish Society of Criminological Research and of the Deontological and Guarantees Commission of the Official College of Criminologists of the Valencian Community; he has been Secretary of ReCrim and Substitute Magistrate at the Provincial Court of Valencia; he has carried out research stays in various foreign centers and is a researcher in different R&D&I projects financed with public and private funds.
