Professor of the Department of Stomatology of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (accredited as a full professor), teaching Preventive and Community Dentistry at the undergraduate level and research methodology at the official postgraduate level. 20 educational innovation projects, highlighting the creation of interactive online content and a podcast channel on Spotify. Member of the INDODONTO innovation group, with 4 five-year terms, directing 50 TFGs and 20 doctoral theses.

As a manager he was secretary of the Ethics Committee of the UV and of the department and is currently director of the Department of Stomatology.

His field of research is Oral Epidemiology and the analysis of scientific evidence, expert in meta-analysis. Member of the OPICOBE group, with 2 six-year terms (2022), 110 JCR impact articles and 150 communications to conferences. Researcher in national and regional epidemiological studies, public competitive projects and OTRI contracts. Gaceta Dental Award for Best Technological Advancement by Oral Health Data Bank Insights (OHDBI) in 2024. He is currently principal investigator of a European ESOR project (2025-2028) of Interreg SUDOE on oral health in rural areas and teledentistry.
