Biography

Laura Llop Medina has a degree in Social Work and a Master's in Social Welfare. She obtained her PhD in Design, Management, and Evaluation of Public Policies in 2024, receiving the extraordinary PhD award in the 2024-2025 academic year. Her career combines applied research, university teaching, and participation in European projects focused on palliative care, social inclusion, LGTBIQ+ rights, and digital health for migrant populations. She has contributed to projects funded by H2020, Erasmus+, the REC Program, and the European Commission, highlighting her role in initiatives on aging, equity, and welfare systems. She is the author of numerous scientific articles in indexed journals and has presented her findings at leading international conferences. Her main line of research focuses on improving palliative care and identifying the needs of patients, families, and professionals. She also has experience in teaching innovation and co-creating training materials with vulnerable groups. In 2022, she completed an Erasmus Medical Center stay in Rotterdam, strengthening her research development in the field of public health and care.
