I obtained my PhD in Biotechnology at the Public University of Navarra, in the laboratory of Prof. Primitivo Caballero, where I worked on Bacillus thuringiensis and its insecticidal proteins. Later I was a professor at the National University of Villa María (UNVM) and Associate Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET, Argentina), focusing my research on the identification and characterization of autochthonous strains ofB. thuringiensiswith new insecticidal activities. In 2022 I joined the Universitat de València with a María Zambrano Distinguished Researcher contract, joining the Biotechnological Pest Control group, where my research focused on the study of Bt Vip insecticidal protein receptors. Since 2025 I have been a Ramón y Cajal Researcher at the Universitat de València (UV), developing a new line of research based on the study of nematodes indigenous entomopathogens and their symbiotic bacteria.
