Lidia Valera Ordaz holds a PhD in Communication (University of Valencia, Special Honours, 2014) and she is specialist in Social Research Methods (Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas, 2016). She currently works as a Professor of Journalism at the University of Valencia. Before, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Valladolid, and a postdoctoral researcher between Suffolk University (Boston, MA) and the University of Valencia (Spain), funded by the Valencian Regional Government. Her lines of research are at the crossroads between communication science and political science, with a special interest in the construction of media and public discourse, the digital public sphere, and the factors explaining media exposure. She has published more than 20 scientific articles in a variety of international journals, and attended more than thirty national and international conferences. She has also joined several nationally and internationally funded research projects, and she has been a visiting scholar in French and American institutions (Suffolk University, Paris 8, Boston College and Sciences Po). Moreover, she has taught different courses in the Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Valladolid, the Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Valencia, and the Master in Political Marketing at the Catholic University in Valencia.
