Mª Carmen Llena Puy MD, DDS, PhD. Full Professor in the Department of Stomatology at the University of Valencia (UV) and Primary Care Dentist at Hospital General de Valencia since 2010. Former Vice Dean of Dentistry at CEU Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia (2002–2008). She holds a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery (University of Zaragoza), a Specialist Degree in Stomatology (University of Valencia), and multiple advanced qualifications including a Master’s in Oral Public Health (University of the Basque Country), a Master’s in Audit and Quality in Healthcare Organizations (Polytechnic University of Valencia), and a Master’s in Applied Statistics (UNED, Spain). She also completed university diplomas in Primary Care, Oral Medicine and Surgery, Endodontics, Dental Traumatology, and Dental Whitening.Her teaching spans the Dentistry and Medicine degree programs, the PhD in Dentistry, and the Official Master’s in Dental Sciences at UV. She directs several diplomas in Endodontics, Dental Traumatology, and Dental Whitening. Her research focuses on dental whitening, adhesive dentistry, endodontics, cariology, oral public health, the oral microbiome, and pulpal regeneration biomaterials. She is part of the UV Interuniversity Network for Teaching Innovation in Dental Pathology and Therapeutics and a member of the Dental Pathology and Therapeutics Research Group at UV. She collaborates with FISABIO (Valencian Public Health Research Center) and the University of Murcia. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, presented at 60 conferences, and participated in 12 competitive research projects, six as principal investigator. She has received 48 awards for teaching, research, and professional excellence. She serves as a reviewer for 20 scientific journals, has participated in four editorial boards, and evaluates competitive research and teaching innovation projects for Spanish institutions. She is a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (Spanish Section) and several professional societies, including the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the Spanish Society of Oral Public Health (SESPO), the Spanish Society of Oral Medicine (SEMO), and the Spanish Endodontic Association (AEDE).
