Biography

Graduated and PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Valencia, she carries out her teaching, research, and university management work in a balanced way, with outstanding international projection. She has held several positions of responsibility: she served as Secretary of the Department of Algebra (2005–2008), Secretary of the Faculty of Mathematics in two periods (2009–2011 and 2018–2021), and, since September 2023, she has been serving as Vice-Dean, a position renewed in July 2024, thus beginning her third term in different dean teams. Moreover, she has coordinated the Degree in Mathematics and currently coordinates the first year of the Degree in Mathematics and the Double Degree in Physics–Mathematics, as well as the EntreIguals mentoring program since the 2024–2025 academic year.

Her teaching activity includes subjects in the area of Algebra within the Mathematics program and in various Engineering degrees, both single and double. Internationally, she teaches at the Università degli Studi di Firenze within the Erasmus+ framework (2015–2025), covering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses. She was a visiting professor at Ohio University(2001 and 2002). In the field of teaching innovation, she participates in innovation projects at the University of Valencia and, since 2021, has been co-organizer of the Jornades d’Innovació Docent en Matemàtiques en Educació Superior (Teaching Innovation Days in Higher Education Mathematics).

Her research focuses on finite group theory, representation theory, and character theory. Throughout her research career, she has taken part in 14 competitive R&D&I projects (2001–2027), several of them as principal investigator, with national and regional funding, and has published her findings in high-impact journals in her field. She holds four recognized research periods (sexenios), the most recent granted in 2021.

In 2017, she chaired the organizing committee of the IV Congress of Young Researchers of the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society, has co-organized the biennial international conference Groups in Florence since 2016, and has completed research stays at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the Università degli Studi di Firenze, supported by postdoctoral fellowships and national and regional programs. She has served on committees and doctoral thesis examination boards in Spain and Italy, has co-supervised one PhD thesis, is currently co-supervising another, and has supervised numerous bachelor’s and master’s theses.
