Luis Sanchez Diana holds a Technical Engineering degree in Industrial Electronics (2006) and a Bachelor’s degree in Automation and Industrial Electronics Engineering (2009) from the Universitat Politècnica de València, where he also completed a Master’s in Electronic Systems Engineering (2009) and a PhD in Telecommunications (2016). He is currently a university lecturer at the University of Valencia, affiliated with the Department of Electronic Engineering at the School of Engineering (ETSE). His academic and professional career has developed across the fields of electronics, integrated photonics, and systems engineering, combining teaching, research, and project management. He previously served as a researcher at the Nanophotonics Technology Center (NTC-UPV), participating in national and international competitive projects —such as SITOGA, LEOMIS and ICTON— focused on hybrid photonic devices and advanced optical technologies. He is the author of several publications in high-impact scientific journals (including IEEE Photonics Journal, Optics Letters, Applied Physics Letters, and Light: Science & Applications) and has presented his work at leading international conferences. In the field of teaching, he has supervised numerous bachelor’s theses in areas such as power electronics, renewable energy systems, embedded systems and instrumentation. He has also contributed to educational innovation projects involving the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in university learning environments. He holds ANECA accreditations as Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) and Associate Professor (Profesor Contratado Doctor), obtained in 2018.
