Mariia Bordian is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Market Research at the University of Valencia. Originally from Ukraine, she holds a PhD in Marketing with an International Mention and received the Extraordinary Award for her PhD dissertation from the same university. She also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and in Finance, as well as a Master’s degree in Finance from Ukrainian universities.
She has professional experience in corporate training, talent development, marketing consulting, and service innovation projects. In her teaching practice, she applies professional coaching methodologies to enhance students’ reflective learning and transversal competencies.
Her main research interests include responsible and sustainable marketing, service innovation, value co-creation, and consumer behaviour. She has conducted research stays at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) and the University of Pablo de Olavide (Spain). Her work has been published in international journals such as the Journal of Vacation Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Marketing Analytics, and European Journal of Tourism Research, among others. She participates in competitive research projects within the INNOMARK research group.
