Biography

Manuel Lozano Relaño is an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Food Sciences, Toxicology and Legal Medicine at the University of Valencia. He is a member of the FISABIO–Jaume I University–University of Valencia Joint Research Unit in Epidemiology and Environmental Health, where he participates as a researcher in the national INMA Project (Environment and Childhood). He is also affiliated with the Biomedical Research Networking Centre for Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP). He holds a PhD in Pharmacy, a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Valencia, and Master’s degrees in Nutrition and Bioinformatics from the University of Barcelona. He has undertaken research stays at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) in Barcelona and at Lund University and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. His current research focuses on toxicogenetics and environmental epidemiology. He participates in several international research networks, including the European exposome projects HELIX (Human Early-Life Exposome), ATHLETE (The Exposome from Evidence to Translation) and ENDOMIX (Impact of Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals and Mixtures on Human Health), as well as the international PACE Consortium (Pregnancy and Childhood Epigenetics). Within these initiatives, he conducts epigenetic studies on environmental toxicants and their effects on human health.
