Biography
Associate Professor in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Valencia, and researcher at the ERI Lectura (www.uv.es/lectura). She holds a Degree in Psychology (Extraordinary Award) and a PhD in Reading and Comprehension (International Mention, Cum Laude). Her doctoral thesis, supervised by Dr. Eduardo Vidal-Abarca, focused on the teaching of reading strategies through an intelligent tutoring system. Her research explores the cognitive processes involved in reading comprehension, learning from texts, and the use of educational technologies to foster reading strategy development. She has participated in national and international research projects and completed research stays at Arizona State University (USA) and Leiden University (Netherlands). Among her main contributions are the development of the TuinLEC and Read&Learn programs, technological tools for teaching and research in reading. She also promotes knowledge transfer through the organization of conferences, training courses, and professional development activities for teachers and schools, and collaborates with various institutions and organizations to promote the teaching and assessment of reading comprehension.
