Research interests: Impoliteness and the construction of discursive identities in virtual interactions within the framework of Interactional Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis; pragmatic competence of students of Portuguese as a non-native language in bilingual contexts.
She has held leadership positions at the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura, Universitats i Ocupació of the Generalitat Valenciana, serving as General Coordinator of the Linguistic Media Libraries of the Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas of the Valencian Community (2020–2024), and at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de València, where she served as Head of the Portuguese Department at various periods, as Cycle Coordinator, and as Coordinator of the Linguistic Media Library.
She was a member of the drafting committee for the Portuguese Certification Exams for the Valencian Community from 2007 to 2020.
She drafted the linguistic curriculum for intermediate and advanced levels of Portuguese for the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura, Universitats i Ocupació, Generalitat Valenciana (2006–2007).
She has published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, including “O poder simbólico da indelicadeza e a construção de identidades discursivas em interações virtuais” (Revista da Associação Portuguesa de Linguística) and “A delicadeza e as formas de tratamento em português língua não materna: um estudo de caso numa sociedade bilingue em Espanha” (Revista Diacrítica, University of Minho), as well as research books, such as “A construção do discurso em ambientes digitais: contributos para o estudo dos rituais verbais de indelicadeza” (Pelos Mares da Língua Portuguesa 5, Volume 2: Language and Teaching, University of Aveiro) and “Corpus eRaro Portugués, Informe del corpus, Fichas de Expresión Oral A2 portugués” in Metodología y evaluación de lenguas (Generalitat Valenciana, Department of Education, Research, Culture, and Sports).
