Jordi Mas Grau holds a degree in Sociology and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Barcelona, with a doctoral thesis entitled “Subjetividades y cuerpos gestionados. Un estudio sobre la patologización y medicalización del transgénero”.

His areas of academic specialization include the study of gender, sexualities and sexual and gender violence. He has carried out several publications and research - both national and international - in the areas of LGBTQphobia, hate speech and hate crimes and social exclusion.
