I hold a BA in English, a Diploma in Classical Tradition, an MA in Linguistics and Literary Studies, and a PhD in Languages and Literatures. I am an Associate Professor of English Studies at the Universitat de València (Spain), a member of the research groups GRATUV and BatWoW, and Coeditor-in-Chief of the journal TYCHO. I am also the Principal Investigator of the research project Contemporary Biofiction: Peripheral Figures and Transnational Crossings (CIGE/2023/50).
My research has been published in high-impact journals and volumes: Brill, Comares, UNED, Archivum, Routledge, Rhemata, Publicacions de la Universitat de València, Alicante Journal of English Studies, Philologica Canariensia, Miscelánea: A Journal of English and American Studies, among others. I have been a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Classical Studies (Universidade de Lisboa, 2025), the Research Unit HALMA (Université de Lille, 2023), Birkbeck College (University of London, 2018), and Université Paris Nanterre (2016–2017).
My scholarly interests centre on comparative literature –especially the intersections between gender studies, classical reception, continental philosophy, and English poetry– as well as the classical tradition in English literature, with a particular focus on Sappho and her literary daughters. I also work on ancient lives in contemporary biofictional narratives, gender and sexuality studies in Anglophone cultures, and literary translation into Spanish and Catalan.
