Biography

Dr. Maria-Jose Miquel-Romero is a Full Professor in the Marketing Department at the University of Valencia (Spain). She has worked as the Academic Director of the master’s degree in marketing and Market Research at the School of Business Studies at the University of Valencia (Spain), and she has also coordinated the master’s degree in marketing and communication at the University of Valencia (Spain). Her research interests include advertising, private labels, omnichannel retailing, and consumer behavior. She has co-authored numerous book chapters and papers published in indexed journals on her topics of interest, like Journal of Business Research, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Psychology & Marketing, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services or Review of Managerial Science, among others. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Glasgow, Scotland (UK), the University of Salford, Manchester (UK), and HEC Montréal, Montreal (Canada). She has been the main leader in two European projects at the University of Valencia (Erasmus + Programmes, European Commission): SPRING (Succession Planning and Regeneration In Family Businesses for New Growth through an innovative training program) from 2019 to 2021 and Health2Innovation (A University-Business Alliance to Accelerate the Digital and Green Transition of Healthcare and Innovation in the Health Mark) from 2025 to 2026.
