Biography

Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Valencia since 2008, with a full-time dedication and over 30 years of academic experience. PhD in Law cum laude (1997), I have developed a teaching and research career focused on company law, social economy, energy transition, and technologies applied to corporate governance.

I have obtained four recognised research periods (sexenios) awarded by the CNEAI (the most recent covering 2018–2023) and six teaching quinquennia. I have supervised four doctoral theses, defended between 2017 and 2024 within the Doctoral Programme in Law and Criminology of the Faculty of Law at UV and the Doctoral Programme in Social Economy at IUDESCOOP-UV. I have taught across all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Commercial Law and participated in educational innovation projects within the Master's in Social Economy and the Department of Commercial Law.

As principal investigator, I coordinated the project TED2021-129787B-I00 “Key self-consumption communities in the energy transition (POWERCOOP)”, funded by the Next Generation EU programme. In total, I have participated in more than 20 competitive and non-competitive projects, several as PI, with national and international funding, in areas such as social economy, renewable energy, corporate law reform, fintech and crypto-asset regulation.

My scientific output includes landmark monographs (Heterogeneous Mergers, The Project Finance Contract), chapters in collective works, articles in indexed journals (SCOPUS, FECYT), and recent work on energy communities, inter-cooperation, and digital governance. Some of these contributions have been recognised for their doctrinal relevance and impact on public policy.

I served as Director of IUDESCOOP between 2019 and 2025, enhancing its research and social outreach through projects, publications and strategic agreements. I have organised and participated as an invited speaker at national and international conferences (CIRIEC, RULESCOOP, Cooperative Forum, among others), with particular emphasis on designing and disseminating public policies on social economy and energy transition.

I currently co-direct the LongevidadLab at IUDESCOOP, a joint initiative of this institute and ILUNION VidaSénior.
