Nong-Ru Cheng Lee, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada (2002) and holds a Ph.D in Research in Artistic Creation: Theory, Techniques, and Restoration from the University of Malaga (2011). Currently, he collaborates as an associate professor in the Area of East Asian Studies, affiliated with the Department of Language Theory and Communication Sciences at the University of Valencia. He also serves as Head of the Chinese Department and teaches Chinese language at the Official School of Languages of València-Saïdia (EOI).
Since 2023, he has been collaborating with the Research Group on Asian and African Studies (GREAA-GIEAA) at the University of Valencia and is a member of the Spanish Association for East Asian Studies (AEEAO).
His research areas focus on the fields of art and cognitive linguistics, uniquely combining these disciplines. His interdisciplinary approach is reflected in specialized publications that analyze artistic and linguistic expression, visual thinking, and cognitive linguistics. Additionally, he stands out for his research in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, using visual and cognitive linguistic tools to facilitate L2 learning.
