Biography

Núria Lorente Queralt holds a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Valencia and a Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies: Spanish Language and its Literatures from the same university. Her doctoral dissertation, supervised by Professor Marta Haro Cortés, was funded by an FPU contract from the Spanish Ministry of Universities, as well as by several complementary grants for research stays at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the Complutense University of Madrid. This research was awarded the highest distinction, Excellent Cum Laude, received an International Mention, and was honoured with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award and the Olga Quiñones Award. During her postdoctoral training, she held a Juan de la Cierva research contract at the University of Alcalá, under the supervision of Professor Antonio Castillo Gómez. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Language and Literature Education at the University of Valencia, where she teaches at both undergraduate and master’s levels.

Her research line is structured around two main areas. First, she studies the History of the Book and Publishing, the History of Written Culture and Reading, and the History of Women linked to the world of books and written culture in Spain and Latin America. To this end, she adopts interdisciplinary approaches that include Cultural History, Literary Sociology, Gender Studies, Cognitive Literary Studies, and the History of Emotions. Second, she is interested in the transfer of research results, with particular attention to heritage education and the development of virtual learning environments aimed at the management of educational content.

As a result, she has produced a considerable body of academic work that includes books, book chapters, and scientific articles. These publications have been disseminated in indexed specialised journals and by recognised publishers, many of them included in the SPI (Scholarly Publishers Indicators) index, which guarantees their quality and relevance within the academic field.
