My main line of research has always been flavor physics and the search of the origin of flavor. This remains still one of the main open questions in fundamental physics, and the Standard Model (SM) is unable to answer this question. During my PhD at the end of the 90s, I studied flavour changing neutral current phenomenology in extensions of the SM. neutrino physics. My first postdoctoral contract was a 9 months contract at Brookhaven National Laboratory in NY state where I studied electric dipole moments of electron and muon. My second postdoc at SISSA in collaboration with Prof. A. Masiero was devoted to the study of flavor phenomenology in sypersymmetric extensions of the SM. Later in the University of Oxford, in the group of Prof. G. Ross, I studied flavour symmetries as a mechanism to explain flavor structures and I continued this research as a Fellow at CERN and later in Valencia as a Ramon y Cajal researcher and then as Profesor Titular de Universidad. Along this trajectory, I also considered the implications of flavor in many other areas, like cosmology, astroparticles, collider physics, etc. In particular in the the field of cosmology, I proposed for the first time the so-called 'flavored leptogenesis' mechanism to generate the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. - In the period starting January 1, 2010, my position has been profesor Titular in the Departament de Física Teòrica de la Universitat de Valencia. I have also been secretary of the Department from 2008 to 2018 and from 2018 director of the Departament de Física Teòrica. Besides, since beginning of 2017, I am member of the Research Comission of the University of Valencia. - In the period starting January 1, 2010, my position has been profesor Titular in the Departament de Física Teòrica de la Universitat de Valencia.
