Biography

Pablo Botella Vives obtained his PhD in Materials Science from Luleå University of Technology (Sweden, 2020) and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher in the High-Pressure and Advanced Materials Group at the University of Valencia. He is affiliated with the Department of Applied Physics and the Institute of Materials Science (ICMUV). He is an active user of large-scale synchrotron facilities, where he routinely performs high-pressure X-ray diffraction and optical spectroscopy experiments using diamond-anvil-cell techniques. His research integrates fundamental high-pressure physics with the design of advanced multicomponent materials. Pablo also has experience in industrial R&D, having participated in several EU-funded innovation projects involving advanced ceramics, energy materials, and process intensification technologies. His interdisciplinary background bridges academic research, materials characterization, and technological applications. His current interests include entropy-driven stabilization mechanisms, pressure-induced phase transitions, and the development of new high-performance oxides for advanced applications.
