Mariángeles Pérez-Martín holds a PhD in Art History (2019, cum laude) and a Master's Degree in Advanced Hispanic Studies (2015) from the University of Valencia. She won the National Award for a Bachelor's Degree in Art History (2012) and the Extraordinary Award for a Master's Degree in Art History and Visual Culture, UVEG (2013). Her research focuses on the field of Women's History and Contemporary Art. She has published the book Ilustres e ilustradas. Académicas de Bellas Artes ss. XVIII-XIX (Tirant lo Blanch, 2020). She is Principal Investigator of the Project Art, Historiography and Feminisms (arthistFEM), University of Valencia (GIGE2024/85), funded by the Conselleria of Education, Universities and Employment, Generalitat Valenciana (2025-2027).
