Encarnación Podadera Solórzano completed her studies in Hispanic Philology at the University of Valencia, obtaining a Bachelor's degree from the same institution. She later pursued a Master’s in Advanced Hispanic Studies: Applications and Research, where her master's thesis, titled "An Approach to the Phraseological Study of Cuento de Cuentos (1626) by Francisco de Quevedo: Grammatical Characterization and Lexicographic Inclusion of Units of the Type De + N / SN,"received the highest grade.
Currently, she is working on her Doctoral Dissertation, titled "Diachronic Castilian Phraseology in the Spanish Golden Age: Picaresque Narrative as a Literary Testimony," which falls within the research fields of History and Historiography of the Spanish Language, Diachronic Castilian Phraseology, and Spanish Golden Age Literature.
As a researcher, she has participated in several research projects within the field of History and Historiography of the Spanish Language. Additionally, she has published scientific articles related to her main research area: the phraseology of Germanía (underworld slang) in the picaresque narrative of the Spanish Golden Age.
She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Spanish Philology at the University of Valencia, a professional activity that she combines with teaching Secondary and Baccalaureate levels at a public high school.
