Biography

Professor in the Department of Economic Analysis at the Faculty of Economics. She holds a degree and PhD in Economics from the University of Valencia, where she has developed her academic and research career since its inception, joining as a researcher in training through an FPU grant. She defended her doctoral thesis in 1997, with extraordinary award of Doctorate.

Her research focuses on applied economics, with particular attention to business productivity, entrepreneurship, intangible capital, and regional economics, characterized using econometric techniques and quantitative methods applied to economic analysis. She has also worked in areas such as fiscal and monetary policy, public debt, the term structure of interest rates, and the economic impact of tourism. Recently, her research has extended to the educational field, as part of the Grupo de Investigación en Salud y Bienestar Escolar (GISBE), collaborating on projects related to academic performance and its socioeconomic determinants.

She is the author of numerous articles in national and international scientific journals; many indexed in prestigious databases such as the Journal Citation Reports. Among the journals where she has published are, among others, Small Business Economics, Economic Research-Ekonomska Istraživanja, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, Technological and Economic Development of Economy, Tourism Economics, Economic Systems Research, and Mathematics. She has collaborated on the preparation of Valencian economic reports such as Coyuntura Económica Valenciana (1994-2011) and participated in competitive projects, as well as contracts with public and private institutions, working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the analysis of relevant economic issues from an applied perspective. She has also participated continuously in scientific congresses, specialized seminars, and academic forums of national and international scope.

She has recognised three six-year research periods by the CNEAI and has conducted research stays at centres such as Universidad Carlos III and University College London.

In teaching, she has an extensive career, supported by the recognition of five five-year teaching periods, highlighting the highest rating in the DOCENTIA program at the University of Valencia. She has taught courses in Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, and Macroeconomics in various degree programs at the Faculty of Economics, as well as in the Master's in Tourism. Throughout her career, she has shown a firm commitment to teaching quality and innovation, actively participating in numerous educational innovation projects, teaching congresses and workshops, teacher training activities, and academic coordination tasks, with special interest in the continuous improvement of teaching-learning processes and the incorporation of active methodologies and quantitative tools applied to economic analysis.

In university management, she has held various responsibilities, including Coordination of External Internships since 2015, Coordination of Final Degree Projects (two years), and Coordination of the sixth year of the ADE-Law Double Degree (three years), actively participating in academic organization and institutional improvement processes.
