Raúl López Castelló holds a PhD in Specific Didactics (Didactics of Social Sciences) from the University of Valencia, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education (Geography and History) and a Master’s Degree in Research in Specific Didactics (Social Sciences) from the same institution. He has been the recipient of a University Teacher Training Grant (FPU) funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities at the Department of Experimental and Social Sciences Teaching of the University of Valencia. He is a member of SOCIAL(S) Research and Innovation Group on Geography and History Teaching. His main line of research focuses on the analysis of the representation of History of Art as a school discipline and its impact on educational practice. He has carried out research stays at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Universidade do Porto.

He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Experimental and Social Sciences Teaching.
