Biography

Ramon Rosaleny Castell holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of
Valencia (with honours), a Master's degree in Social Welfare (UPNA) and is an
Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia. He has more than fifteen years
of experience in socio-therapeutic intervention with children and families,
combining for years his work as a Clinical Social Worker with university teaching (
UV, UNIR, VIU). With postgraduate degrees in transpersonal therapy, systemic
approaches, mindfulness and meditation, his research focuses on the impact of
contemplative sciences on the well-being and ethics of helping professionals in
different contexts (social, educational, health). He is the author of numerous indexed
publications, Principal Investigator in various projects and a participant in
public R+D+I. He also collaborates with the Interuniversity Chair of the Public
Social Services System of the Valencian Community, belongs to the professional
team that makes up the ‘Entrenosaltres’ Service of the COTS in Valencia, and
is a member of the Editorial Board of the ACANITS Journal (Mexico).
