Biography

Pau Romero is an Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) in the Area of Applied Mathematics within the Department of Mathematics at the University of Valencia (UV). After earning his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at UV (2014–2018), he completed a Master's in Computational and Mathematical Engineering through URV-UOC (2020) and received his PhD in Computing from UV (2020–2025). His professional background spans roles as a freelance developer, a predoctoral researcher at UV's CoMMLab, and a Data Scientist at Plain Concepts. Additionally, he gained postdoctoral research experience at the prestigious Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, an institution with which he continues to maintain a scientific affiliation.

His primary research focuses on computational geometry and simulation, applied transversally to mathematical and computational modeling in biomedical engineering and computational cardiology. Beyond his purely mathematical and technical endeavors, Pau possesses a broad interdisciplinary passion that ranges from logic, information theory, and computing to the humanities and social sciences, including philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and economics.
