She studied Chemistry in the University of Córdoba (UCO), and completed her Master degree in Chemistry and Material Science at the same university. She received her Ph. D. in 2014, working on self-organized systems investigated by interfacial spectroscopy and microscopic techniques; and thin films of semiconductors for optoelectronic applications. In 2015 she moved as postdoctoral researcher to the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL (Suiza), and one year later to Energypolis EPFL-Valais, where she worked as Senior Scientist focusing on novel perovskite materials for photovoltaics. She joined the University of Valencia as distinguished CIDEGENT researcher and later she became Ramon y Cajal Fellow.
