Resumen del CV. My research has focused mainly on the morphology and syntax of Catalan, Spanish and, more recently, Basque, from both a synchronic and a diachronic perspective. In all these areas, I have participated in some of the most important collective works that have been published in recent years, such as the Gramática descriptiva de la lengua española, the Gramàtica del català contemporani, The handbook of hispanic linguistics, the Sintaxis histórica del español, the Manual of catalan linguistics or the Sintaxis del español / The Routledge Handbook of Spanish Syntax. My work on the verbal mood and tense in Spanish and Catalan has had a special impact and the proposed analysis has been taken into account by many researchers. Google Scholar lists 243 citations from the chapter 'The mood in relative and adverbial clauses' and 153 from the chapter 'Temporal and aspectual relations'. These works delimit in detail the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic properties of the categories of tense, aspect and mood and exemplify them from contexts taken from large corpora. Also noteworthy are the diachronic studies based on processes of grammaticalization, reanalysis and analogical changes, both for the theoretical novelty at the time of their appearance and for the results of the research, focused on aspects as diverse as the formation of prepositions, verbal periphrases or conjunctive links, changes in conditional schemes or analogical changes experienced by the verb in Catalan. Google Scholar contains 239 citations from the book From Latin to Catalan, in which some of these works are collected. Within the Hispanic field, I have been one of the first researchers to introduce theoretical models that have proven very useful for the study of linguistic change. Thus, my first works within the theoretical framework of the theory of grammaticalization date back to 1994. Likewise, in the field of morphology, my works linked to Natural Morphology and the analysis of inflection based on theoretical principles of cognitive and semiotic foundations, and principles of autonomous morphology, were also pioneering. Another example of my interest in linguistic theory is the Diccionari de Lingüística, published in collaboration with two other researchers in 1998, and which has been republished in 2022 in a corrected and greatly expanded version by TERMCAT, the official Catalan terminology centre, and the Valencian Academy of Language. This is the first dictionary of linguistics in Catalan, which includes all the linguistic disciplines and the main theoretical frameworks (structuralism, functionalism, generative grammar models, natural grammars, cognitive linguistics, autolexical syntax, optimality theory, etc.) and which gives equivalents of each term in Spanish, French and English. This dictionary can also be consulted online on the TERMCAT website (https://www.termcat.cat/ca/diccionaris-en-linia/308). I have also collaborated in grammatical works for regulatory academic institutions. On this subject, I can highlight my contribution as a speaker in the Gramàtica normativa valenciana (Valencia: AVL, 2006) and in the Gramàtica valenciana bàsica (Valencia: AVL, 2016), and as director and speaker, together with Joan Solà and Gemma Rigau, in the Gramàtica de la llengua catalana of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (Barcelona: IEC, 2016), as well as my collaboration as a consultant in the Nueva gramática de la lengua española of the Real Academia de la Lengua Española (Madrid: Espasa, 2009), of which I have been a corresponding member since 2016. As a general indicator of quality, it can be noted that my publications have an h index of 19 (all) and 13 (since 2020) in Google Scholar, and an i10 index of 40 (15 since 2020). I am currently working on the edition of Gramàtica del català antic (together with Gemma Rigau, Josep Martines and Jordi Antolí). It is a collective work, with 57 chapters focused on all the grammatical aspects of Catalan from its origins to the mid-15th century. It is also an indicator of quality that I have been recognized for five consecutive research projects (1987-1992, 1993-1998, 1999-2004, 2005-2010 and 2011-2016 and 2017-2022)..

Indicadores generales de calidad de la producción. As a general indicator of quality, it can be noted that my publications have an h index of 19 (all) and 13 (since 2020) in Google Scholar, an i10 index of 40 (all) and 15 (since 2019). Likewise, my publications are cited in 2,045 works (581 since 2020). It is also an indicator of quality that I have been recognized for six consecutive research periods (1987-1992, 1993-1998, 1999-2004, 2005-2010, 2011-2016 and 2017-2022). Furthermore, a significant part of my work has been published in prestigious journals in the field of Catalan philology and general linguistics: one article in Revista de Filologia Española (Scopus), in Verba (Scopus), Zeitschrift für Katalanistik (indexed in: Arts and Humanities Citation, Scopus), in Catalan Working Papers in Linguistics (Scopus) and in Journal of Portuguese Linguistics (ERIHplus); three articles in Catalan Journal of Linguistics (Scopus); three articles in Estudis Romànics (Scopus, ERIHplus), and seven articles in Caplletra (Emerging Sources Citation Index, ERIHplus). Or in equally prestigious and relevant publishers: four chapters in John Benjamins (BCI), one chapter in Wiley-Blackwell (BCI), three chapters in Walter De Gruyter (BCI), one chapter in Brill, one chapter in Routledge (BCI), one chapter in Gredos, two chapters in Publicaciones de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México/Fondo de Cultura Económica, one book in Publicacions de l'Abadia de Montserrat, another book in Publicacions Universitat de València and another in Octaedro, and the publication of a book in Editorial Empúries and another in John Benjamins..
