Salvador Cardona-Serra is Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Universitat de València. His current research focuses on computational neurochemistry, NMR spectroscopy and metabolomics, and the application of machine learning to chemical and spectroscopic problems. A particular interest is the development of data-driven approaches to enhance low-field NMR and extract chemical information from complex biological systems.

His research also explores molecular and organic materials for neuromorphic computing and brain-inspired electronics. Using quantum-chemical calculations, molecular modelling and multiscale approaches, he investigates charge transport, memristive behaviour and resistive switching. His broader scientific background includes molecular magnetism, spintronics, molecular electronics and functional molecular materials.

He has co-authored more than 40 publications in international journals across Chemistry, Physics and Materials Science, with more than 2,500 citations and an h-index of 25 according to Google Scholar.

His teaching activity is centred on Physical Chemistry and spans undergraduate and postgraduate education, including the supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses and research projects.

He is also actively involved in academic management and internationalisation at the Universitat de València, including the coordination of Erasmus+ and SICUE mobility programmes at the Faculty of Chemistry and other faculty-level academic activities.
