Biography

Sergio López Ureña holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Valencia and a Master's degree in Mathematical Research from the same university. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Valencia, with a thesis entitled Herramientas matemáticas multi-escala para el procesamiento de señales, defended in 2019. He currently carries out his teaching and research activity at the University of Valencia, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics.

His research focuses mainly on numerical analysis, mathematical signal processing, optimization and the development of multiscale methods for the resolution of scientific and technological problems. In these areas he has participated in several competitive research projects related to signal processing and computer-aided design, as well as in applied work in the field of liquid chromatography.

His activity combines research in applied mathematics with university teaching, especially in the field of numerical analysis, applied mathematics and differential equations, participating in interdisciplinary teams aimed at providing answers to scientific and engineering problems using advanced mathematical tools.
