Dr. X. Sòria-Perpinyà is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Valencia (UV). He holds a degree in Environmental Sciences, a Master's degree in Biodiversity: Conservation and Evolution, specializing in ecosystem conservation, and a PhD from the University of Valencia as part of the Official Doctoral Programme in Biodiversity.

RESEARCH: His work has focused on (i) limnological studies of water quality using conventional methods, and (ii) the use of remote sensing to estimate water quality variables. His research has been conducted with the Limnology group (UV, Spain, 2009-2017) and the Earth Observation Laboratory (UV, Spain, 2018-present). He has completed two research stays (totaling 13 months) at the Institute of Biosciences (USP, Brazil). He has been recognized for two research periods (2021-2023). Dr. Sòria-Perpinyà has published 32 JCR-indexed articles, with an h-index of 14, authored 2 book chapters, and presented 88 conference papers. He has participated in 13 research projects. His collaborations with other research groups are reflected in 5 co-authored articles.

TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT: His teaching experience focuses on the Analysis of Environmental Pollutants in the Master's Degree in Environmental Contamination, Toxicology, and Health, as well as on the integration of Environmental Science studies in the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science. He is currently (co-)supervising 3 doctoral theses and 2 Master's theses. Additionally, he has (co-)supervised 4 Master's theses.
