SERGI ROSELL
I am a lecturer at the Philosophy Department of the University of Valencia. Previously I was postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sheffield and the University of Oxford, and predoctoral researcher in Valencia, with stays in the University of Birmingham and the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). My doctoral dissertation was on the moral luck issue and the challenge it posits to dominant views of moral responsibility. I've worked on topics in philosophy of action and moral psychology (free will and moral responsibility, moral and epistemic agency, emotions and character, reactive attitudes and punishment). And currently I am also interested in topics of ancient philosophy, in lying and deception, and in value and meaning.
I am the chief editor of the journal Quaderns de filosofia and a member of the Valencia Philosophy Lab as well as of Phronesis Group and Nomos Network for Applied Philosophy.
Recently published book: Mentiras y engaños. Una investigación filosófica (Madrid, Cátedra, 2021), co-authored with Tobies Grimaltos.
