Isabel Tello holds a BA and a PhD in Translation and Interpreting by Universitat Jaume I and a Master's Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation by Universitat de València. She has worked as a freelance translator and translation lecturer for twenty years in both public and private universities, where she has also held academic management positions. She is currently a lecturer and researcher in the Department of English and German Philology at the Universitat de València and is a member of the Interuniversity Institute of Applied Modern Languages (IULMA). She teaches, among others, in the Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation and in the Degree in English Studies.
Her research interests include translation of linguistic variation, didactics of translation and languages, and Corpus-Based Translation Studies. She has been a visiting researcher at Imperial College (United Kingdom) and Ostfold University College (Norway). Among others, she has published her work in Hikma, Estudios de Traducción and Peter Lang. Her works are available at https://producciocientifica.uv.es/investigadores/364320/publicaciones.
