Biography

Inés Tomás Marco is Associate Professor in the Department of Methodology of the Behavioral Sciences at the University of Valencia. She has a PhD in social psychology and work and organizational psychology, and she is member of the IDOCAL (Research institute in Human Resources Psychology, Organizational Development, and Quality of Work). She has published numerous research studies in the discipline in books and international scientific journals such as: Accident, Analysis & Prevention; International Journal of Testing; Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology; Journal of Safety Research; Journal of Vocational Behaviour; Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology; Risk Analysis; Safety Science; Structural Equation Modeling: A multidisciplinary Journal; The Service Industries Journal, etc. She collaborates in different research projects about topics such as demographic diversity and work teams’ performance, safety behavior in nuclear power plants, leadership, organizational climate, employability and overqualification. In the field of methodology, its main research interests are related to the validity of measurement instruments, in general, and to the analysis of scales and the differential item functioning, in particular.
