Biography

Nuria Verdet Martínez holds a PhD in Early Modern History from the University of Valencia and is a lecturer in the Department of Early Modern and Contemporary History at the same institution. His main line of research is the study of juridical-political culture of the Valencian royal magistracy of the 17th century, exploring the role of this socio-professional group and its intellectual production as an element of articulation and political cohesion of a Hispanic Monarchy. She is author of the monographs Francisco Jerónimo de León. Un letrado al servicio de la Monarquía (PUV, 2014) y Gobernar con el derecho. Las Decisiones de Francisco Jerónimo de León (Institució Alfons el Magnànim, 2019). She has coordinate, with Juan Francisco Pardo and Fernando Andrés, ¿Al servicio de quién? Poder, instituciones y familia en la Monarquía de España (Comares, 2022)
