Verónica Sanz is Full Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Valencia and a researcher at the Institute for Corpuscular Physics (IFIC, UV-CSIC).

Her work focuses on particle physics beyond the Standard Model, with particular emphasis on the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), dark matter and axions, and on building consistent links between experimental data and fundamental theories.

In parallel, she advances the use of artificial intelligence as a discovery tool in physics, from statistical learning and machine-learning pipelines to interpretable methods aimed at extracting robust physical insight.

She is actively involved in knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary projects at the interface of quantum technologies and advanced medical imaging, and collaborates widely with international theory and experimental teams.

She also contributes to teaching, mentoring, and science communication.
