Specialised in qualitative research and in processes of school success and failure, his doctoral thesis was entitled ‘Deconstructing and reconstructing school success and failure in Compulsory Secondary Education’, under the supervision of Carles Xavier Simó Noguera and José Beltrán Llavador. He has authored numerous publications focusing on the field of early childhood, primary and secondary education, while being a speaker at numerous sociology and education conferences, both nationally and internationally, and participating in various national and international research projects.

In 2012 he carried out an 8-month pre-doctoral stay at the Paulo Freire Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, USA), under the tutelage of the distinguished Professor Carlos Alberto Torres. Accredited as a doctoral assistant since 2017, he has developed his teaching and research activity at the University of Valencia (UV) from 2009 to 2015, resuming it from 2016 to 2024 at Florida Universitaria (Catarroja), a centre attached to the UV. In October 2024 he obtained a position as assistant doctor for the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology of the UV.
In the field of education, the following aspects stand out in his career (among others):

- Teaching carried out at the UV on the Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education and on the Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training.
- In-depth study of the notions of success and failure at school as long processes that go beyond the secondary level, as well as their causes, analysing real school trajectories.
- The approach to school well-being and global competence, especially in its sociological sense and from a critical viewpoint aimed at rethinking the school and its objectives as a social institution and transforming agent.
- The exploration of the elements of social stratification within the educational world, as well as the economic costs of phenomena such as school failure, repetition or school dropout in the different stages that make up the educational system.
- Research into alternative methodologies to the traditional teaching-learning model, from a sociological approach.

- Research and participation in projects on children's rights and on the phenomenon of gender violence in adolescence, generating prevention resources for town councils and secondary schools in the Valencian Community.
