Manuel José Zafra Doménech is a translator and interlingual mediator from the Universitat de València (UV), holds a degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), and a master's degree in Communicative Language and Hispanic Linguistics from the UNED (awarded with distinction). He has also pursued doctoral studies in the Communication and Interculturality Programme (UV), a path that has strengthened his critical, interdisciplinary approach to the study of language.

He has built his professional career as a translator specializing in the humanities and legal fields. Alongside this work, he is also a conference interpreter, a role he carries out in parallel and one that has allowed him to operate in international communication settings.

He combines this professional practice with a sustained interest in research, focused on the study of the linguistic sign and enaction theory. From this perspective, he seeks to rethink the processes of signification and translation beyond classical representational frameworks, paying particular attention to the role of the body, action, and interaction in the construction of meaning.

Part of his professional work has also been devoted to developing institutional relationships with universities across Europe, contributing to the building of academic ties and institutional cooperation. In this way, his career moves between the practice of translation and interpreting, theoretical reflection on language, and the building of institutional bridges.
