Verònica Zaragoza (Ondara, 1986) has a degree in Catalan Philology from the University of Valencia and a PhD from the University of Girona. She is a professor of Literary Theory and Cultural Studies at the University of Valencia. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, where she worked on different R&D projects of BIESES of which still participates. She has also been a pre-doctoral researcher at the University of Girona, in the NISE research group. CATALAN LITERATURE OF THE MODERN AGE where he completed a thesis on poetry written by women in the 16th-18th centuries which earned him the extraordinary doctorate award.  In addition, she has been a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford (2019) and at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Mexico) (2014).

She has focused her research career on the review of the canon of the Modern Age based on the recovery and interpretation of texts and unknown literary genres written by women. Her research in the archives of women's convents and monasteries stands out, from where she has been able to rescue unpublished works and manuscripts, from which she has been able to profile female authors and unknown literary themes. Other aspects in which he has been interested are the involvement of women in the baroque festive sphere, a subject he has studied from the interpretation of poetic contests as spaces and mechanisms of female political agency and cultural resignation, or the relationship of some figures with the inquisition for reasons of heterodoxy or false holiness. She is the author of more than fifty works and the books The women of Borja. Stories of hidden power and prominence (publisher3 and 4; IIEB, 2022), Closed. Mujer, escritura y reclusión (Tirant Lo Blanch publisher, 2022, co-edition with Purificación Mascarell) and Polyhedral fontanella: baroque poetry and transmission (IEC publisher, 2019, co-edition with Pep Valsalobre).
