Biography

Alfredo Zarco Alpuente is a PhD student in the Psychology Research Program at the University of Valencia (FPU22/01588). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in General Health Psychology.

He is a member of the EVAIN research group (GIUV2015-236), which focuses on the study of prosocial behavior within the Department of Basic Psychology. His doctoral thesis, titled "Social networks as a travel companion: how to foster digital well-being in adolescence", explores the impact of smartphone use among adolescents, with a particular focus on those involved in competitive sports.

His academic trajectory has been recognized with several awards, including the Extraordinary Award for both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, the Award for Academic Excellence from public universities in the Valencian Community, and the Best Undergraduate Thesis Award from the Spanish Society of Positive Psychology. To date, he has presented more than twenty communications at national and international conferences, and has published 7 scientific articles and 2 book chapters.
